Its exciting thinking about being in another country and working in a hospital-at the same time I know there will be some very challenging experiences through which God will do great things in our hearts. In many ways I feel unprepared for this trip with my focus on school and wrapping up the year here at Biola. This week our team will meet to pray over the trip, the people we will meet and for our hearts to be open for the experiences God has for us. One phrase Glenn (our professor going) continues to reiterate is "be willing to do nothing or willing to do anything". It could be that our greatest job in Rwanda will be to simply sit with patients and pray for them or we could be asked to assist in medical procedures that are over our heads. We are going willing to do God's work--whatever that means.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers-pray that God would be working in our hearts during the next two weeks to prepare us for this trip. I cannot wait to be in country and building relationships with the people of Rwanda!
